Advice from a style queen

Today's guest post is by Dani Simoni from Mamma Made Me! Enjoy,

Hello Chevali and friends!

It is with much enthusiasm and excitement that this collaboration between Chevali and I, has finally come to fruition. Many words, many hours and many ideas have been exchanged in the process – a long time coming, but here it is!

Without re-hashing the details Sam has provided, let me be so bold as to boast about the practicality of this garment. Wait, what a boring word, practical, perhaps versatile is more apt. Regardless, let me take my foot out of my mouth and share with you how I would style this outfit.
I’ve always been fearful of someone asking me what my personal ‘style’ is. I know it, for me it’s innate but I don’t know how to articulate it. ‘My style’ ranges from sophisticated safe (I’d like to think Victoria Beckham) through to bedazzled road-kill, as my dear friend once put it. In fact, embellishments and I are good friends, but, there is such a thing as over doing it. For a garment like this, despite its prominent pattern, it enables dressing up or down on either side of the spectrum.

With this particular dress, I would toughen it up and add layers to fend off the chills irrespective of the lightweight fabric, now that the cooler months are upon us.

If money were no object, these are some pieces I would team it up with.

Whatever your style – here comes that word – this versatile number can be adapted to match your mood; worked up with bling and leather, or paired down with opaques and a chunky knit scarf.

Hopefully, this isn’t the last you’ve heard of me yet.
A big thank you to Sam for commissioning the dress and for allowing me to share my two cents on her blog.
