Jodie's colour experience

Here's a post from Jodie on how she coped with me shopping for her online for a super injection of colour into her wardrobe.

I really needed to invigorate my tired wardrobe to the latest in fashion – colour blocking, so Sam embarked on the colour challenge for me.
She did an amazing shop online for me, some of the goodies she showed me I was really sceptical of, no I mean REALLY sceptical. Seriously, who buys jeans online, let alone the confidence to buy someone else’s jeans online!

So, the clothes arrived and OMG, I was so enamoured with the array of colour before me and I hadn’t even taken them out of the packaging at this stage. So we high tailed it up to the theatrette meeting room at work and away we went.

First item to pull on was the red t-shirt. Great summer T to match many of my clothing ‘bottoms’, sits beautifully on my hips and covers up any potential crack flashing incidents. This top I have already worn to a Christmas picnic in the park last Friday coupled with my own denim skirt. Flattering and awesome colour.

Next item pulled out was the blue jeans. I was SOOOO nervous about these one’s, not nervous but anxious I’d say because I really wanted them to look great and fit. So off came the skirt and on went the jeans. After a mid pulling up panic they FIT, they are well fitting but will loosen with wear. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, I just need to find the right event and frame of mind for the inaugural wearing. I still had the red T on and together they serious represent the brief I gave Sam, the colours are amazing, on trend and kinda cool.

Time to try the white singlet with the blue jeans – awesome, clearly the colour options for tops with the blue jeans are numerous, red, white, black......

Off with the jeans and on with the burnt orange chinos. This is something I would NEVER buy for myself, the cut and colour are just not on my radar. This item is my FAVOURITE in the whole collection. They are comfortable, great colour and really suit my shape. I have worn them 3 times since I got them which was only late last week remember!

The burnt orange t shirt is a great cut and I already know it will look great with my black tailored pants and a necklace for work or with my black skinny jeans on the weekend for a more casual look. Like the red t it is also on the longer side to cover up the tops of jeans or tuck in – such a good length and really important when I’m constantly bending down to my son that I don’t have any bits showing.

The green jacket and pretty heart skirt are so girly. These will be great to wear to work and casually. The jacket will go with so many things I already own and I look forward to wearing it, it just needs to be a bit colder as it’s beautiful fabric and on the thicker side.

In all I’m so pleased with all the gear Sam bought. She’s has an amazing eye for selecting clothes that suit all types of body shapes and skin tones. I will happily embark on Sam’s services again.

Thanks Sam xx
